About
About
Klimas Engineering is an independent hardware engineering studio focused on early-stage product development.
I work with founders, startups and small teams to turn ideas into real, testable devices.
The goal is simple: remove technical uncertainty early and avoid expensive redesign later.
Instead of only delivering CAD models, I help define the right solution, validate assumptions and build working prototypes that can realistically move toward production.
How I work
My role is to guide the technical direction of the project, not just execute drawings.
Discovery
We define the real problem, constraints and technical risks before design begins.
Concept
Feasible architecture and approach are chosen so the product can actually work in reality.
Engineering
Detailed CAD and material decisions prepared for manufacturing and prototyping.
Prototype
A physical prototype is built and tested to verify assumptions and improve the design.
Support
Further iterations, supplier communication and preparation for production.
What to expect
- clear next steps after the first discussion
- practical decisions instead of theoretical design
- direct communication with the engineer doing the work
You don’t need a finished specification, a rough idea is enough to start the conversation.
Mission
Vision
Values
- Engineering over aesthetics, if it looks good but doesn’t work, it’s wrong
- Design for manufacturing, prototypes should lead toward real production
- Transparency, clear risks and trade-offs instead of false certainty
- Iteration, progress through testing, not assumptions
- Ownership, I treat the project as if I had to manufacture it myself
